How were you introduced to music?
Allen:"My mom really helped, she got me into the choir at church when I was young, but with the guitar, it was weird ya know, I had a couple of guitars that I didn't play so I sold them, but after a couple of religious experiences I felt like picking up the guitar because I felt it was the right thing."

What do you try to accomplish with your music?
Allen:"Expression--it's my thereapy."

What kind of a musician do you consider yourself?
Allen:"I don't know if I am a musician, I play to express myself but I'm not a jam out rockin' dude. I put my feelings and heart into my music, it's my therapy but I don't think of myself really as a musician"

What are your favorite bands and why?
Allen:"Sublime because Bradley Knowl is awesome, they were the first to put scratchin' in rock 'n roll and The Counting Crows because they're really soulful."
What goes into the writing process?
Allen:"It's like sudden, sitting down and imagining your heart, your mind, and your soul as a body puking out info. Alot of songs happen in 5-15 minutes."

What is your ideal guitar?
Allen:"Wow, there are so many, we'd be here forever if I told you, but the guitar of the moment would have to be a Taylor acoustic-electric"
